Glossary of taxes and supplements

A.P.A (advance for provisioning): the lessor will be charged for all expenses corresponding to fuel, the costs of mooring outside the base port, food and beverages and any other particular service that you may request. In order to cover the costs, an advance for provisioning (APA) will be required, which is 30% of the rental price. At the end of the charter and if requested during the rental the captain will present a complete accounting of all expenses, either with a refund of unspent money or a request for payment if the A.P.A has been exceeded.

Security deposit: the security deposit is necessary in some cases for manned yachts, this deposit covers damages attributable to negligence, accidents or misuse of the boat.

Transfer Expenses: Vessel transfer expenses can be applied to rentals that require the yacht to start or end the charter to be outside its base port.

Payment method: 1st delivery: 50% of the rental fee is paid upon signing the contract. 2nd delivery: 50% rest of the fee + A.P.A (if applicable) + Transfer expenses (if applicable) + Deposit (if applicable) payment to be made before boarding.

Taxes: the rental fee is subject to taxes in the country of navigation, in Spain VAT of 21%

Tips for crew: If you believe the crew has been excellent, it is customary to offer a tip between 5% – 10% of the rental fee.
